Symposium: Building Networks for Learning
The Building Network for Learning Symposium in July 2008 offered two days of presentations and interactive sessions on effective practices and high-yield strategies for improving student achievement. Held on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto, teams from Ontario district school boards participated in sessions in order to:
- Understand the power of networks to improve student learning
- Receive specific input on the high-yield strategies integral to teaching-learning networks
- Align the School Effectiveness Framework and teaching-learning networks
- Take part in focussed conversations across schools and boards
