June 2006: Leading Student Achievement: Our Principal Purpose Symposium
In June, 2006 principals gathered together to discuss the progress that has been made throughout the year as a result of our partnership. The keynote speakers, Lorna Earl and Steven Katz spoke on the topic of data. Earl and Katz led a workshop based on the book they co-authored, Leading Schools in a Data-Rich World. Ben Levin and Ruth Mattingley also spoke at the symposium to share their insights into the LSA project.
Dr. Lorna Earl, Educational Consultant, Author, Director of Aporia Consulting Ltd., recently retired Associate Professor in the Theory and Policy Studies Department, and Head of the International Centre for Educational Change at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto
