A Brief Overview of Curriculum Services Canada
Who We Are
Curriculum Services Canada (CSC) is the evaluation agency for the Trillium List (the list of approved textbooks for the Province of Ontario). We have also managed the process for the development of Locally Developed Courses and profiles, the TIPs Mathematics project, and many other Ontario Ministry of Education initiatives. We also evaluate supplementary learning resources for clients, both national and international, who wish to reach the Canadian market.
What We Do
Curriculum Services Canada is a self-sufficient, not-for-profit organization, operating at cost recovery based solely on fees paid by our clients to conduct evaluations. CSC is the parent organization for a family of quality services trusted by Canadian teachers. Our affiliate and charitable arm, The Curriculum Foundation (TCF) supports a Grants for Teachers Program for the development of new teaching and/or learning resources. CSC originated as the Ontario Curriculum Clearinghouse, which was incorporated in 1997. As CSC expanded across Canada with regard to both clients and services, the name Curriculum Services Canada was incorporated in 2000.
How We Operate
We are an ISO 9001:2000-registered organization, and as such are audited both internally and externally, thus requiring our strict adherence to policy and guidelines to ensure a process that places the highest value on confidentiality, reliability, and quality.
We operate at arm's length from the Ontario Ministry of Education, publishers, and publisher organizations. As a result of our unique position, we are able to provide objective evaluations of learning resources to our clients.
