

The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course is an activity-based 8-hour course that targets the 11- to 15-year-old age group. In addition to caregiving skills, it also covers first aid and injury prevention to help prepare students for regular babysitting jobs, caring for themselves when home alone, or when facing an emergency.
In 2003, the Canadian Red Cross updated the course to reflect changes in society and lifestyles and to keep up with the needs of babysitters and parents. The course content covers:
