Career Connections: A World of Possibilities

Publisher's Description

The Career Connections Kit is a resource that introduces students to the world of possible careers in Canada's property and casualty insurance industry. Whether students are interested in business generally or in insurance specific areas, the industry offers challenging and rewarding careers for all.

School counsellors and careers teachers will find this resource valuable in demonstrating non-traditional career options to their students. It can be utilized in the classroom or in career counseling sessions to show that there are highly rewarding, but often overlooked, careers in the insurance industry.

The Kit includes a 9 minute video (DVD or VHS) showcasing real people in real insurance careers. A teacher's video guide is included with viewing instructions and activities.

Complementing the video is the Career Profile booklet. This booklet features informative career profiles of insurance professionals. It is simply laid out to show students the day-to-day activities of insurance professionals, their education requirements, salary ranges and advice for students.
