Content
Landforms of the Earth is comprised of a number of colour overhead transparencies that illustrate landforms of the Earth, categorized by origin. The information is accurate and current. The technical language used for explanations is supported by high quality block diagrams that facilitate student understanding of each landform shown.
Methodology
The transparencies provide teachers with a resource to support their teaching of the landforms found throughout the world. Teachers could use the resource for a variety of open-ended inquiries that would encourage analytical, divergent, and critical thinking.
Assessment
The assessment of student learning would have to be designed by the teacher.
Format
This well organized learning resource, contained in a three-ring binder, categorizes landforms by origin, illustrates selected examples, and explains their formation. The professional quality of the transparencies and the appropriately selected photographs and illustrations will stimulate student interest.
Bias
Examples have been selected from around the world with the majority representing European landforms.
