Curriculum Correlation
This resource supports educators in implementing Physical Geography curriculum at the Grade Seven and Eight levels.

Content
The resource contains a series of overhead transparencies of photographs of landforms. Each photograph is accompanied by teacher notes and suggested questions. The language of the student-directed questions is appropriate for the grade. Terminology is used appropriately throughout the resource. A glossary is provided at the end of the book. There are limited photos of Canadian landscapes. There is a world map at the end of the resource that is useful in helping locate the geographic region of each of the photographs.

Methodology
This is fundamentally a teacher resource for use in teacher-directed situations; however, there are opportunities to adapt and extend activities to reach different learning styles. Extension opportunities are provided for use with many of the photographic studies.

Assessment
Questions are provided with each photograph to help the teacher direct and assess student learning. Focus questions at the end of the resource provide opportunities to assess student attainment of concepts and ideas associated with landforms.

Format
The resource is organized in a clear and logical sequence. A table of contents and a glossary facilitate using the resource.

Bias
Bias is not an issue in this resource, which consists of a series of photographs of landforms.

Review Recommendation
Physical Landscapes of the Earth is recommended as a supplementary resource for use with Grade Seven and Eight Physical Geography courses.
