Web Conferences
Web conferences are highly interactive learning sessions hosted by a facilitator for a community of learners on a specific topic. They connect learners directly with experts and colleagues from across educational communities. From the comfort of their own office or home, participants engage in meaningful dialogue through oral discussion and online interaction. CSC provides training and support before, during, and after web conferences
Current Sessions
Technology Requirements
Participation requires:
- A computer running Windows ME or higher (2000, XP, Vista) with high-speed Internet access. Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher is required.*
- Access to a speaker phone in addition to your Internet connection. The audio portion of the web conference will be conducted over the phone. You will need to be able to talk on the phone and access the web conference online simultaneously.
Please note that in order to ensure the session begins on time, you will need to allow 15 minutes before the start time to login to the web conference.
* You must contact CSC to test the setup of the computer you will be using on the day of the conference at least four business days before the conference.
Registration
Go to the Current Sessions and find the course you are interested in. Click on the registration link for that course and complete the required information. After you complete the registration form(s), you have two choices:
- Pay by phone or fax using VISA/Mastercard;
- Pay by mail or in person with cheque/money order.
You will be able to choose your method of payment on your registration form and follow the instructions for making payment.
Registration Deadline
Registration for each web conference closes three business days before the event.
