This resource: Harmonisation des travaux d’élèves en français langue seconde (FLS) is the result of the collaboration of six school boards in Ontario. These boards engaged in rich discussions during the moderation of student writing tasks based on Ontario FSL curricula. The goal of this resource is to support FSL educators to develop a common understanding of student proficiency levels in writing in order to increase coherence across classrooms and schools in the province. It includes a guide to help boards who wish to replicate or adapt this project locally, as well as four booklets, organized by CEFR levels, with samples of student written work at various levels of proficiency. The booklets include on-demand writing tasks, rubrics based on the achievement chart justifications for the levels assigned and next steps that describe possible teacher actions to help students improve.
