Section 2: Continuum and Connections

Mathematical Processes details student and teacher roles and connects the mathematical processes to assessment and to the Achievement Chart. Content- based packages connect the mathematical themes across strands and grades, apply and extend the learning in contexts beyond the classroom, and provide questions that promote deeper understanding.

Section 3: Grade-Level Planning Supports

Planning supports are provided separately for each of Grades 7, 8, and 9 Applied Mathematics. Each grade level includes a scope chart of the content clusters for the curriculum expectations, an overview of content clusters and reporting targets for each term, daily lessons, student worksheets, computer-based investigations and sample summative tasks. Templates for program planning are included.
