The Aménagement linguistique policy seeks to validate and ensure the protection, development and vitality of French language and culture in a minority setting. It includes strategies for increasing student competence in literacy and numeracy, and identifies actions needed to manage implementation of interventions at the board, school, and community level. In this webcast, Michelle Boucher speaks primarily about the role of teachers in the implementation of the policy.
Michelle Boucher, French Language Policy and Programs Branch, Ministry of Education, is in charge of the Aménagement linguistique policy in Ontario. She is also responsible for various other projects related to identity building, commitment, and academic achievement in a minority setting.

Dominic Giroux is the Assistant Deputy Minister for Francophone Education and Educational Opportunities. For the webcast, he situates the Aménagement linguistique policy within the history of French-language education in Ontario and talks about its importance for francophone schools.
