TCF funds the creation of teacher-developed classroom learning resources that support student learning of existing Canadian curricula in either French or English. Through mentoring award winners, TCF also supports professional learning. TCF offers a limited number of $2,000 grants each year to teachers who have identified a vital need and have a solution to offer. Projects submitted for consideration must:

We believe that teachers have the knowledge, the experience, and the commitment needed to ensure that Canadian children receive the quality of education they deserve, and that Canadian teachers must have access to the best classroom materials. If you have an idea for a learning resource that you would like to develop — something you believe can be of real value to students and teachers — perhaps we can help.

What Does TCF Offer Grant Winners?

If our independent selection panel chooses your proposal, you will receive $2,000 to develop your concept.

Moreover, our commitment to you doesn't end there. We will also provide you with an experienced mentor to help you turn your idea into reality. Mentors are selected for their experience both in specific discipline areas and in the development of learning resources.

After this process is completed, your project will receive the CSC Seal of Quality, indicating that it meets the rigorous standards for which CSC-evaluated materials are known. It will then be posted on our website so that other Canadian educators can download it free of charge and can benefit from your experience, hard work, and creative thinking.
